When a person's vital life energy is high and free flowing, they will feel strong,

During a Reiki session the "Universal Life Energy" flows through the hands of the
practitioner and with an intelligence of its own, flows to where it is needed in the client. As the energy flows to a sick
or unhealthy area of the body, it breaks up and washes away any negative thoughts or feelings lodged in the person's mind/body
system that contributed to creating the illness. As this happens, the unhealthy physical organs and tissues become properly
nourished with the higher energy and begin functioning in a balanced, healthy way once again.

What does a Reiki treatment consist of?
You relax, fully dressed, on a couch or seated while the
healer holds his hands on or above you. A treatment can last an hour or longer depending on the treatment required. In the
western world many practitioners use the standard hand positions and commonly a full treatment is given covering all the important
organs of the body.
There is no pressure on the body making it ideal for treating all ages and conditions, sometimes hands
are even held away from the body.
