VISION! and the Kids with Cameras Program is a program where middle and high school students can be positive members of
their community through learning and exploring socially and community minded issues.
We encourage young people in their creativity, exploring ways that they can be an instrument of positive change, and
an indispensable part of our community.
Our program begins in September. This year we hope to increase the involvement and opportunities we make available to
our students by involving community mentors with our local Secondary School aged students.
Each Student will produce one or two Oral History shorts under the guidance of Center for Mediation and
Compassionate Communication Studies Staff and the University of Oregon Internships.
We look forward to involving Community experts in film shooting and production, giving our students an opportunity
to learn from professionals in the field.
In June we will have our screening gala event. In the upcoming months we are also dedicated to finding various venues,
such as local community TV,You Tube, School Curiculum to show the Oral History documentaries made by our students.
